Description: PRESENTATION OUTLINE of Racing Car consists Background, Performance and Vehicle Dynamics, Tires and Aerodynamics, and Driver Vehicle Interactions and Handling. The DESIGN CONSIDERATIONS consists two parts Passenger Vehicles and Racing Vehicles. In Passenger Vehicles Safety; Do nothing “bad;” “easy” to drive; and “comfortable” ride, 95% low acceleration and Untrained drivers. In Racing Vehicles Maximize horizontal performance, 95% high acceleration, Fast cars are comfortable!! and Controllable by a skilled (and brave) driver. Trained? The RACING VEHICLE GOALS are Maximize lateral and longitudinal acceleration capability & CONSISTENCY, “DRIVEABILITY” or “CONTROLABILITY” and Note - strong bias toward performance in racing versus driver comfort/workload in passenger car.
