Description: Chip making stocks rose on Friday, but still posted the biggest weekly drop in nearly four months as unrest in the Middle East weighted on investors’ sentiment. Many of them are now bracing for a bumpy ride as oil prices soared to the highest level in nearly two years. Intel gave the chipmaking sector a small boost on Friday after Citigroup analysts said they expect PC demand to rebound in March, but it was not enough to offset the earlier losses. 3 out of 36 companies we track recorded gains.
