Maxims applied: Intel and the lessons to learn from the poor performance of ViiV™ for those trying to converge markets into one.

  1917      Nov 30, -0001
ViiV was an attempt to launch the PC into consumer electronics. It was hailed by the media when it launched and mavens loved it. The practical reasons for why it failed are easy to see. But that is not what this missive is about. This is about analyzing the marketing to see where it went wrong and how to avoid this. Products fail because marketing fails, simple as that. They not the only ones, Apple made many similar with iTV. So even the marketing master of them all, Steve Jobs can trip up.
