The Birth of Modern Cartography

 Chris Boreland
  23rd-Feb-2009
Description: There have been major advancements in mapping over the last 30 years: A move from manual ‘heads down’ cartography to ‘heads up’ computerization. This has helped to speed up production times and has provided a 3rd dimension to digital mapping. However even with these advancements cartographic information still requires human input. Covers photogrammetry, analogue plotting, Intergraph DMC, airborne laser mapping and more.
