As we enter this New Year, looking at what the latest forecasts promise, it’s interesting to look back what happened last year around this time. It now appears the semiconductor world over reacted in early 2009, with fear rather than results driving the industry. The industry is now almost a full year behind in capital improvements, which has been showing up in poor device yields at the 45nm generation . . .
