The terrorist attacks in Southern Mumbai last week showed a significant advance in their use of of-the-shelf technology. They used many publicly available tools including: Google Earth, Blackberry smartphones & GPS navigators,The mobile Internet, 7/24 Media coverage and alerts, Satellite phones. I write about how they used this technology and how authorities can gain a technical advantage in the future.
