Summary

Europe's government spending to save their chip manufacturers has been fruitless. Europe has been steadily moving towards having no indigenous manufacturing industry in semiconductors at the leading edge — this, when billions have been spent by the EU over the last three decades to stop it from happening. For the money their government spends, Europeans should be getting more. So let me try to start a wider discussion by putting forth what I believe to be issues with European consortia . . .
