Summary

The old marcom way is the Press Release and that’s dying. The new way of PR is managing the flow of information between an organization and its publics. The role of PR is to influence our audiences. Journalists influenced our audience 20 years ago. Now they don’t to a large extent. That changes how you have to communicate and write releases. You’re still doing the same thing as a press release. It’s just that it’s conversational. Plus, you need to add a cut down to a Twitter pitch.
