Description: 3rd Generation biomass to transportation fuels have the benefits of low cost of feedstock, high yield of stable bio-oil with no heavy by-products, they are conventional fuel products that require no engine modification and utilize existing fuels infrastructure. Goals include: 5 million bbl fuel per annum 10 – 15 % renewables and 10% renewables in jet fuel by 2013. New Zealand’s Stationary energy already at 65% renewable targeting 90% by 2020.
