Summary

There are strategic changes afoot in the wind turbine market. Vestas has gone from a dominant share to a moderately respectable %. GE is close to passing Vestas. More stunning is the rapid success of China’s emerging supplier base - 3 Chinese wind turbine competitors were in the top 5 market share gainer slots: Sinovel, Dongfang, & Goldwind. Acciona and Siemens closed out the top 5 spots. As for the United States, it’s questionable that it can play globally without a national game plan.
