Rabbits and bunnies both are similar there is no contrast between both of them, the names are different. They both are same in terms of breed and species.

Where Do Rabbits Live?

Rabbits are mammal animals. They are mostly found all over North America. Rabbits like to live in groups and believe in living with harmony. Their group is known as underground warrens. They hide themselves in these underground warrens to protect against any attack from predators. These underground warrens are mostly found in grass, forests, desert, and meadow. A newborn baby lives in underground warren for only three weeks. After three weeks they go outside. The mother of the newborn baby makes a burrow outside the warren. The burrow is covered with grass, twigs, and its own fur to keep away their newborn baby from danger. It was also claimed that a mother rabbit covers the burrow with dirt in its absence to keep its babies safe. They got good eyesight. They have a good ability of hearing. Apart from all these qualities, they have an exceptional quality that they can run so quickly. They run so fast that nobody can catch them easily. They can easily hoax other animals.

Where Do Hares live?

Rabbits and hares both look the same. Hares are family members of rabbits. Hares are mostly found in the desert of the southwest U.S. and in Mexico. They like to live in open grassland and wide farmland. Snowshoe hare and Arctic hare make habitat into the snow during cold weather. They like to take rest in the shelter during hot temperature and come out from the shelter in the late evening in search of food. Basically, in the desert, you can find them in a group to defend against any threat from violent animals.

Where Do Domestic Rabbits Live?

Generally, domestic rabbits are kept in captivity. The pet rabbits are kept inside the home. Some rabbits are allowed to roam freely or confine in the cage. The size of cage is normally larger than rabbits so that they can move and hop freely inside the cage. They are given good nutrients food in the cage. They are also fed foods which are full of calories and minerals. Pet rabbits also like to eat fresh hay every day and other items which are available in rabbit food shops.

There are many interesting facts about rabbits. First of all, we are going to talk about what do rabbits eat? All species of rabbits are herbivorous. No matter where they live. Basically, rabbits are heavily dependent on grass and hay. They need fresh hay every day. They like to eat different types of green color hay. They love eating a variety of leaves from the plants and trees. Rabbits always keep away from meat. Another reason they don’t eat meat because they can’t digest meat. If they eat animal’s meat by mistake they will invite severe stomachache. Grass and hay are part and parcel of the rabbit’s daily diet. Their eating habits can be changed depending upon their habitats. Rabbits consume grass around their habitats. There is less nutrition in the grass. They have to eat lots of grass to survive for a long time.

The rabbits that live in the wild they can freely graze. They can consume a high volume of grass whereas the rabbits that are kept in captivity can consume limited grass. They are given dry food, vegetables, hay to give vitamins and minerals.

What Do Rabbits Eat in the Wild?

There is no contrast between pet rabbits and the wild rabbit’s diet. Both are similar to some extent. The difference is that what wild rabbits can eat domestic rabbits can’t. Generally, they consume all kinds of foods during different seasons but they are heavily dependent on plants. During the cold season, they eat twigs and gnaw tree bark. Besides, they relish forbs, clover, leaves, shrubs, and dry & green grasses.
