They like to live in rainforests and forests. There are roughly 450 species kept in Zoos. Cape Giraffe inhabits the south of Botswana and Zimbabwe. They are also found in southwest Mozambique. Dry open woodland is also their favorite place. This region is full of acacia trees.

Giraffes are usually found in herds. They are not able to make communication with one another. They can convey messages by making sounds. Their herds involve males and females. They don’t have a leader in the herds. It is said that the female giraffes make a large group to look after their young giraffes. Adult female like to stay in small groups.
