Description: Welcome to the ECG self learning package: Module 2. The electrocardiogram (ECG) is a diagnostic tool that measures and records the electrical activity of the heart in exquisite detail. This process checks for problems with the electrical activity of the heart. An ECG translates the heart's electrical activity into line tracings on paper and interpretation of these details allows diagnosis of a wide range of heart conditions. These conditions can vary from minor to life threatening.
