 Unknown
  27th-Apr-2009
Description: Radiotherapy is the medical use of ionizing radiation. Radiation has been in use as a cancer treatment for more than 100 years. Its earliest roots traced from the discovery of x-rays in 1895. We think of biological effects of radiation in terms of the effect on living cells. Ionising radiation, by definition, interacts only with atoms by a process called ionisation.
