Description: In 2006 the Infectious Diseases Society of America published guidelines for the assessment, treatment, and prevention of Lyme disease. This paper review the guidelines from a critical point. To put the issue into perspective, it is no secret that there is taking place in America today a debate regarding the long-term use of antibiotics in the treatment of Lyme disease.
