Description: Autoradiography is a modality used in Biosciences to map the density distribution of radiolabelled biomolecules in thin tissue samples with high resolution. Monte Carlo experiments have been undertaken to better understand the interaction of β-electrons with silicon-based detectors. Silicon-based technologies (CCD and CMOS) can reach conventional autoradiographic film resolution.
