Proton-beam therapy has become the hottest new thing in radiation therapy. The proponents claim protons do less tissue damage than the X-rays used in conventional radiation therapy because unlike X-rays, protons stop in tissue. The bigger question for those whom medicine is their business is can you make money for the huge investment that must be made. This economic analysis shows that you probably can.
